Subject: Final Facility and Capacity Assessment Report

Good Morning Everyone,

Here is the final report including cost estimates. I will be shipping 35 copies tomorrow for delivery on Wednesday. I will be bringing a PowerPoint Presentation that is a summary of this report for Wednesday night’s meeting.

We will be discussing this further on Wednesday, but I want to provide some back-up information on the costs. The cost estimates are conservative in nature. At this early stage, many assumptions have to be made since the actual condition or solution to fix the issue may not be resolved or developed. In addition, the construction market has recently seen substantial cost inflations which you see in the high costs of particular items.

This report is not intended to have the district elect to do every single item listed in the report. In fact many items would not be taken if another item taken. For example: At the High School there are items in High Priority Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Seismic that are recommended to upgrade the gym. However, if Priority 2 is taken to replace the gym in its entirety these other items would not be taken.

There are also a few items left pending. When I am there on Wednesday I hope to clarify those items so we can provide an amendment. These items have little impact to cost.

Thanks,

Renée Kroupa
